For years, I have heard that Mac and Linux do not get viruses because they are in minority. Windows is most popular target for hackers because it is most used. Do you agree? Well, you are wrong then. Windows has some 75-80% market share. (Source: Wikipedia) So, it must be a frequent target because it is used so widely. Wait, shift to mobile space now. iOS has about 30-40% market(Again, Wikipedia)....
